English Study Program alumni was channeling her expertise in applying makeup in the Etiquette and Personality Development class. In the implementation of the makeup class, the lecturer in the course for Etiquette and Personality Development and also Language Teaching, Yohana Ika Harnita Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd. invited Diah Astuti Handayani to share her knowledge of how to use makeup tools for the 2016 class of her students. The use of makeup provided includes makeup for campus look, internships, and applying for work. Diah also taught tips on choosing a makeup brand of makeup tools that is affordable for students. “You don’t need thick makeup for a daily look at campus, right?”.
Diah also gave an explanation while she was styling one of the student’s hair, considering that there were not too many needs for students’ to use makeup, their use and needs can be adjusted. Several types of local brand makeup tools are quite affordable for student pockets. They are also advised to choose makeup ingredients that are suitable for their skin type to avoid contrast when applied.
This moment is very useful considering that the Alumni who completed their studies in the English Language Diploma in August 2016, are also Makeup Artists and have experience in the fields. The following are the results of the brief and practical make-up provided by Diah to two students of the Etiquette and Personality Development and also Language Teaching class.
